This is a general purpose rich yellow coloured sand, suitable for mixing with cement to produce mortar used for bricklaying. It has a higher clay content, which helps repel water and allows the sand to become stickier and more pliable when mixing. Its most common usage is for rendering and bagged brickwork and its lower price point makes it the ideal choice for this. It can also be used as an underlay for pools, pond liners and pipework.
